KS3 COURSE OVERVIEW - Geography

Year 7

After initially exploring the different areas of Geography, Year 7 students investigate topics such as Rivers and Flooding, Our Place, World of Sport and Settlements.  Each student is given a half-termly Home Learning project to complete to a specific deadline, which develops their independent learning skills.

Year 8

Throughout the years we study a wide range of topics such as Tropical Rainforests, Antarctica, Consumption in the Modern Age and India.  Each student is given a half-termly Home Learning project to complete to a specific deadline, which develops and enhances their independent learning skills. These projects are designed to prepare our students for the demands of the GCSE course and the completion of a Controlled Assessment.
