Pupil Premium

Pupil Premium Grant at Epping St John’s

Epping St John’s aims to increase the life chances of students through an inclusive, high quality learning experience for all.

The government provides a pupil premium grant (PPG) to ensure that disadvantaged students have access to the same increased life chances as everyone else. At Epping St John’s we spend this grant to ensure that all disadvantaged students can access every aspect of our school life along with their peers.

Our objectives are to ensure that:

  • KS3 students have access to a rich curriculum including after school clubs, educational visits, necessary equipment and catch up sessions where needed to ensure good progress in line with their peers.

  • KS4 students have access to a rich curriculum including booster and revision classes, small group tuition, after school clubs, necessary equipment and subject specific help where needed to help them attain the results and make progress in line with their peers and national averages for students of similar ability.

  • Students have access to the pastoral, emotional, practical and learning support needed to help them to make full use of the learning opportunities open to them.
